As a ‘trusted helper’ you’ll be authorised to act on other people’s behalf after you’ve verified your identity once with GOV.UK Verify – much easier than having to prove your identity every time you contact HMRC by phone.
To become a ‘trusted helper’ you’ll need to be able to provide the full name and date of birth details for anyone you’re assisting, as well as their National Insurance and tax reference numbers.
